Mix and Match New and Old

It is vitally important to integrate new technology into the marketing plans and strategies of the vast majority of companies.

However, it is also very important not to forget about older marketing techniques such as hard copy newsletters, brochures etc.

The trick comes in ensuring consistency between all of the methods of communication. All of your marketing communications should be sending the same messages and communicating the same brand values.

Email me to get any tips on how to develop a truly integrated marketing plan which selects the most appropriate media, and delivers an effective message to your customers.

Analysis of your Current Position

The SWOT Analysis tool is one of the most well known tools in business marketing and strategy, but one of the least effectively used.

SWOT analysis provides a useful analysis of the current situation your business is in, including both internal and external factors.

Over the coming weeks, this will be the focus of my blog, and I will give you tips on carrying out a successful SWOT analysis.

This week's tip is

"Be focused on particular elements of your business – most businesses (even one man bands!) are too large to have generic strengths, weaknesses, opportunities or threats."

By this I mean concentrate on a particular aspect of your business. This could be for example a particular customer, a particular group of customers, a service or product which you offer, or a geographical location.

If you would like any assistance with carrying out a successful SWOT analysis, along with a wide range of other tools and techniques, to analyse your business, please contact me on olivercrook@blackberry.orange.co.uk
